Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide onsite services in a K-12 school setting located in Saint Petersburg, FL. The assignment runs through the current school year, ending in late May.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for preschoolers, primarily focused on 3-year-olds in the ChildFind program.
- Provide direct speech therapy services across various grade levels depending on site assignment.
- Adapt to flexible scheduling with options ranging from 1 to 5 days per week based on location needs.
- Collaborate with school staff to support student communication goals.
Locations and Scheduling Options include:
- ChildFind Program (district-wide evaluations, 1-5 days/week)
- Marshall Middle School (morning sessions, 30 minutes/week)
- Frost Elementary (3-5 days/week)
- Guinta Middle School (1 day/week)
- Armwood High School (4 days/week starting Dec. 1)
- Mann Middle School (5 days/week)
- Collins PK-8 (5 days/week beginning March)
Qualifications:
- Valid Florida SLP license required.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply; supervision will be provided as needed.
- No Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) will be considered for this assignment.
- Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a school environment.
