A K-12 school district in Clearwater, FL, is seeking several licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support their ChildFind program and provide speech services across multiple schools. These positions are contract-based for the current school year, with an immediate start date through May 23rd.
This role focuses primarily on evaluating preschool-aged children (3-year-olds) as part of the ChildFind initiative, with evaluation opportunities available 1 to 5 days per week throughout the district. Additional open positions include weekly sessions at middle and high schools, as well as full-time roles at select elementary and middle schools. Flexibility to cover multiple sites based on caseload needs is ideal. This is an onsite-only opportunity in Clearwater, with Zoom interviews coordinated for candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for preschoolers within the ChildFind program.
- Provide ongoing speech therapy services for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and district guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid Florida SLP licensure required; candidates who have completed their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are encouraged to apply.
- No Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) will be accepted for these roles.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple caseloads across school sites.
