A unique opportunity is available for licensed Speech-Language Pathologists interested in providing essential services to K-12 students across multiple schools in Bradenton, FL. This position spans the remainder of the current school year with full-time hours and direct impact on diverse student populations, including specialized programs.
Opportunities include assignments at:
- Sugg Middle School (January through May 28, 2026) supporting approximately 60 students, including one self-contained/cluster program for Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD).
- Blackburn Elementary (ASAP through April 2026), covering a maternity leave with an existing team of one SLP and part-time SLPA.
- Abel or Abel/Tillman Elementary (March through May 28, 2026), filling a vacancy due to a current full-time SLP relocating.
Essential qualifications and requirements:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Hold a valid Florida SLP license.
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Clinical Fellows (CFYs) are encouraged to apply; however, SLPA candidates are not being accepted at this time.
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) and familiarity with addressing speech and language disorders within educational settings.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and families.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting evaluations and therapy sessions tailored to individual student needs.
- Managing caseloads efficiently across assigned schools.
- Documenting progress through timely reports and maintaining compliance with state and district requirements.
- Supporting students in specialized programs such as self-contained EBD settings.
