Pre-K Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Duties

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and language delays in early childhood students

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for Pre-K students

Provide direct therapy and consultative support to teachers and families

Collaborate with early childhood educators and multidisciplinary teams

Document progress, maintain compliance records, and adjust interventions as needed

Promote language development and communication skills in inclusive and supportive learning environments
Federal and State Requirements

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Current Massachusetts SLP license required

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and other applicable education laws

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Massachusetts school districts
