Occupational Therapist (OT) Job Duties

Evaluate and assess students fine motor, sensory, and functional skills

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs

Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services in educational settings

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success

Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations

Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
Federal and State Requirements

Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

Current Maryland OT license required

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and other applicable education laws

Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Maryland school districts
