A dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought to support a K-12 educational setting in Arvada, CO. This contract position spans the current school year and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students communication development within a dynamic school environment.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification and credentials as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a valid state license for school-based practice
- Experience providing speech and language services in K-12 educational settings
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders affecting school-age children
- Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with educators, parents, and students
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for K-12 students
- Develop and deliver therapy plans tailored to individual student needs in accordance with IEP goals
- Monitor and document student progress regularly, adjusting therapy as required
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students communication needs in classroom settings
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide professional insights on student interventions
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations governing school-based therapy services
