A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in school settings, based in Boston, MA. This position supports elementary school students in their communication development during the current school year (CSY) on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations and individualized therapy to students with diverse communication needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement effective treatment plans aligned with educational goals.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed to maximize outcomes.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation and reports in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
- Participate in school meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams ensuring holistic student support.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from ASHA.
- Experience working as an SLP in school environments, particularly with elementary-aged children.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders common in educational settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, families, and school personnel.
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently within a contract framework.
