Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available to provide specialized support to elementary students in a K-12 school setting within the Baltimore area. This contract role runs from mid-February through late May with potential extension into a four-week summer session. The position focuses on delivering therapeutic services to a diverse PreK-5th grade student population across two elementary schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services in accordance with individual education plans (IEPs) for elementary-aged students.
- Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, teachers, and other educational staff to support student communication goals.
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation of services and progress.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to effective communication strategies that promote student success.
- Adhere to all relevant state licensure regulations and ethical standards for speech-language pathology assistance.
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students (PreK-5) in school-based settings.
- Ability to work full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, individualized support to students.
Schedule & Location:
- On-site role requiring physical presence at Magnolia Elementary School (3 days per week) and Prospect Mill Elementary School (2 days per week) in the Baltimore area.
- Contract duration: February 16, 2026 May 29, 2026, with possible extension into Extended School Year services (July 2026).
