Blazer Jobs is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 20252026 school year in the Ellicott City, MD area. Position Overview
The selected educator will provide specialized instruction, accommodations, and behavioral support for students who require an individualized educational approach. This role is best suited for someone who thrives in collaborative settings and values consistent communication with families, teachers, and district teams.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver direct instruction to students with IEPs across academic and functional skill areas
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans
Manage caseload requirements including documentation, progress reporting, and compliance
Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary planning, and student support conferences
Collaborate closely with general education staff and related service providers
Support students academic, social, and behavioral needs across school environments
Qualifications
Active Maryland teaching certification in Special Education
Experience with mild to moderate needs preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and families
