Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contracted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available working with a preschool and elementary school population at an elementary school in Silver Spring, MD. This position focuses on delivering speech and language services with a caseload of young students, specifically those who may require augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to preschool and elementary students.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Utilize and support Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) methods for students with complex communication needs.
- Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all relevant policies and regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology, particularly with preschool and elementary populations.
- Familiarity with AAC devices and strategies is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.

- Schedule: 22.5 billable hours per week, spread over three days
