A full-time school clinician position is open at a high school in Springfield, MA, providing social, emotional, and behavioral support to high school students. This role is designed for a mental health professional with a Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling and proven school-based experience. The position operates within a drop-in support model and involves managing a caseload of approximately 24 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual counseling sessions focused on social, emotional, and behavioral wellness.
- Facilitate small group support initiatives to address common student challenges.
- Respond promptly and effectively to crisis situations, ensuring student safety and well-being.
- Maintain accurate case documentation and collaborate with school staff to support student success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Relevant school-based clinical experience supporting adolescents.
- Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize client needs efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
- Reliable transportation to and from the school and punctuality in all scheduled appointments.
- Must pass required drug screening and fingerprint/background checks.
- Immediate availability to begin work with the ability to complete all onboarding requirements promptly.
