A full-time speech-language pathologist position is available in the West Hartford, CT area, serving two elementary schools in an inclusive setting. This contract assignment runs through June 9, 2026, with an immediate start and a schedule of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM.
This role involves working onsite at elementary school sites to be determined, supporting a range of disability categories within inclusion classrooms. Candidates must hold an active Connecticut license and have previous school-based experience. Clinical Fellows (CF) are encouraged to apply, though Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are not eligible. A current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is preferred but not mandatory. All hires must complete district fingerprinting and background checks. Remote interviews will be conducted via Zoom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to students in elementary settings
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement inclusive strategies
- Assess, develop, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in team meetings and parent conferences as needed
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Connecticut
- School-based work experience required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; CFs considered
- Successful completion of district-required fingerprint and background clearance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently in a school environment
