Located in Waterford, MI, this opportunity is ideal for dedicated Speech Language Pathologists seeking to support K-12 students in a dynamic school environment. The contract position runs from November 8, 2025, through June 12, 2026, with a focus on providing exceptional speech therapy services primarily to a Pre-K caseload.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students from Pre-K through 12th grade
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student assessments
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies
- Adapt therapy sessions to meet the unique needs of urban children and their families, utilizing appropriate resources
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as required
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) required; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates with temporary licensure may be considered if supervised
- Experience or comfort working within an urban school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development in children
- Ability to engage effectively with diverse student populations and collaborate with educational staff
- University transcripts available for verification
- Pre-qualification may include discussing challenges faced by urban children and appropriate resource identification
Location:
- Onsite position in Flint, MI, with candidates considered from surrounding areas including Grand Blanc, Lansing, and Detroit
- Teletherapy may be accepted, though onsite service is preferred
