A bilingual Speech Language Pathologist fluent in English and Spanish is sought for a full-time contract position supporting elementary and middle school students. This role is based in the Fort Walton Beach region and focuses on teletherapy services within K-12 educational settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy through virtual platforms to students aged approximately 5-14 years old.
- Collaborate with school staff to support individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure compliance with educational and licensure standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions and progress notes.
- Adapt therapy techniques to address a wide range of speech and language disorders remotely.
- Participate in regular teleconferences with multidisciplinary teams to discuss student progress and intervention strategies.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Speech Language Pathologist license.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish to provide bilingual teletherapy services.
- Prior experience in school-based speech therapy, particularly virtual or telespeech settings.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage children of varying ages via teletherapy platforms.
- Demonstrated understanding of K-12 educational goals and speech-language pathology protocols.
Location and Schedule:
- Services will be provided primarily to students attending two schools in the Niceville area, north of Destin, FL.
- The role comprises 37.5 hours per week.
- Contract duration extends immediately through May 28, 2026.
