Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This is a contract position for an Occupational Therapist working with K-12 students in a school setting based in New Braunfels, TX. The role involves providing direct therapy to students, conducting evaluations, consulting with school staff, and participating in ARD meetings. The therapist will serve a caseload of approximately 60-65 students ranging from Pre-K through 12th grade and will be required to visit multiple school sites during the contract period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students across Pre-K to 12th grade
- Perform student evaluations to assess needs and progress
- Collaborate and consult with teachers, administrators, and other school staff
- Participate in ARD meetings to develop and review individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Manage a caseload of 60-65 students effectively
- Travel between multiple school sites as needed
Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) licensure
- Experience working in school-based occupational therapy preferred
- Ability to manage a large caseload with diverse student needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of school-based therapy practices and ARD/IEP processes
