A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a clinical fellowship year contract in a K-12 school setting in El Paso, TX. This role is on-site within a school district serving PreK through 12th-grade students, with a primary focus on high school and a secondary option for K-8. The position offers an opportunity to address significant gaps in speech services, including managing a backlog of cases and supporting students with individualized education programs (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services across PreK to 12th grade, focusing primarily on high school students.
- Deliver clinical interventions to students who have had limited or no speech services during the past year.
- Manage and reduce a caseload backlog, working with approximately 64 students at the high school level or 40 students at the K-8 level.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and school staff to develop and implement effective IEPs.
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and maintain detailed documentation to support student progress.
- Utilize supervision capabilities if applicable for clinical fellowship requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid State Speech Language Pathologist licensure.
- Clinical Fellowship Year eligibility or current licensure for SLP.
- Ability to provide bilingual services is preferred but not required.
- Experience working with K-12 students in school settings is ideal.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseload and documentation efficiently.
- Willingness to work on-site in school locations south or northeast of I-10 in El Paso.
