Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A specialized opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to support a K-12 school program focusing primarily on profound autism and special education. This full-semester, contractual role is based in Ludlow, MA, with oversight from a nearby office in West Springfield, MA.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech-language services primarily within a profound autism program
- Providing support to a few general special education students in a separate campus setting
- Conducting AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) evaluations and offering related services
- Collaborating closely with educational and therapeutic teams to create individualized plans
- Potentially extending services into the Extended School Year (ESY) period, based on performance
Desired qualifications:
- Current and active Massachusetts licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Extensive experience in AAC evaluation and service provision
- Ability to perform services exclusively in-person, as remote work is not considered
- Background working within school settings, ideally with a focus on profound autism and special education populations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Details of the engagement:
- Position duration: February 2, 2026, through June 23, 2026, with a possibility of ESY continuation
- Location: Primarily Ludlow, MA, with some responsibilities at a nearby campus
- Initial part-time commitment of approximately 20 hours per week, with potential to increase to full-time
