A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized support in an elementary school setting. This contract role is ideal for professionals holding a current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology, with experience working in schools. The position is located in New Britain, CT, and will cover the current school year (CSY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy services to elementary school students.
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other support staff to promote effective communication skills and academic success.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district policies and state regulations.
- Participate in meetings such as IEP (Individualized Education Program) planning and provide professional guidance as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure and certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Proven experience providing speech-language services within an elementary school environment.
- Strong knowledge of childhood communication disorders and therapeutic techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a school team setting.
