Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available to provide vital support across elementary and middle school caseloads. This position serves 2-3 school buildings within a K-12 educational setting, requiring a skilled professional to contribute effectively to student development and communication goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering speech and language interventions for students
- Support caseload management across elementary and middle school students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and session activities
- Participate in regular meetings and professional development opportunities
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Active SLPA license in Connecticut
- Prior school-based experience is required
- Completion of district fingerprinting and background checks
- Credentialed candidates will be given priority consideration
- Ability to work full-time hours, approximately 35 hours per week
- Availability to start as soon as possible through June 9, 2026
- Participation in a Zoom interview during the hiring process
Location:This role is based in West Hartford, CT, supporting students in multiple school buildings within the surrounding district.
