A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) within an elementary school setting in West Hartford, CT. This contract position is designed for the current school year, offering a meaningful role supporting the communication development of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for elementary-aged students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting articulation, fluency, language processing, and other communication disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational professionals to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.
- Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions and student progress in compliance with school and regulatory standards.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide ongoing support for students educational goals.
Qualifications:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required.
- Experience working as an SLP within school settings, preferably with elementary-aged students.
- Strong understanding of child development and effective speech-language intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility to obtain it for Connecticut.
