Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Physical Therapist opportunity is available for a contract position providing leave coverage from early April to late May in a K-12 school district in Englewood, CO. This role involves full-time hours and servicing a diverse student population ranging from PreK through high school, including students with physical and multiple disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services across six different school sites.
- Serve approximately 55 students with mild to severe disabilities.
- Manage caseload and deliver therapy using appropriate pediatric mobility equipment.
- Collaborate with educational staff and families, contributing to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and documentation.
- Receive Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA) support at the three largest schools serviced.
- Maintain active communication regarding student progress and adapt treatment plans as required.
Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certification as a Physical Therapist.
- Experience working in Colorado schools preferred.
- Knowledge of IEP writing and familiarity with pediatric mobility equipment is highly desirable.
- Ability to travel across multiple district schools efficiently.
Location:
- Schools across the district, primarily based in Englewood, CO, with travel to sites within the vicinity.
