A unique opportunity is available for a Physical Therapist to provide vital support in a K-12 school setting. This contract position offers full-time hours covering leave from early April through late May. The role involves working itinerantly across six school sites within the Denver, CO area, supporting approximately 55 students from Pre-K through high school with physical and multiple disabilities ranging from mild to severe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to students with diverse needs across multiple school locations.
- Collaborate with educational staff to support individualized education program (IEP) goals.
- Utilize expertise in pediatric mobility equipment to enhance student participation and mobility.
- Manage documentation including IEP writing and progress tracking.
- Maintain communication with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certification is required.
- Proven experience working in Colorado school settings.
- Comfortable working with physical and multiple disabilities.
- Knowledge of IEP development and pediatric mobility equipment preferred.
- Strong organizational skills to handle an itinerant caseload effectively.
