A school district in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to provide essential psychological services to support student success across various educational settings. This role involves travel between multiple schools within the district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
- Consult with teachers and staff to develop strategies that support student learning and behavior
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and assist with compliance documentation
- Travel to multiple school locations within the district to deliver services
Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure appropriate for the state of Maryland
- Experience conducting psychological assessments in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of child development, special education laws, and behavioral interventions
- Effective communication skills for working with students, families, and educators
- Willingness to travel between multiple school sites as needed
