A rewarding opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based services to support elementary-level students in Gadsden, AZ. This position offers the chance to contribute to the development and well-being of young learners within an educational setting for the current school year on a contract basis.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing evaluation and treatment services to students requiring occupational therapy
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Creating intervention plans that enhance students fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
- Documenting progress and maintaining compliance with school and state regulations
- Participating in team meetings and contributing expertise to support student success
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Current licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist with relevant school-based experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with children, families, and school staff
- Familiarity with school environments and ability to adapt interventions to classroom settings
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners and promoting inclusive education
