A contract opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to support an elementary school setting in Acton, MA, for the current school year. This role focuses on providing expertise in psychological assessment, intervention, and consultation to enhance student outcomes and support educational staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students learning and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to individual student requirements.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to promote a positive and inclusive educational environment.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.
- Assist in the development of individualized education programs (IEPs) and participate in team meetings.
- Monitor student progress and adjust support strategies accordingly.
- Maintain detailed documentation and comply with legal and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Relevant state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience in elementary school settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of psychological testing and assessment tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Understanding of special education laws and regulations.
