Providing teletherapy services as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) within K-12 educational settings requires specialized expertise and a commitment to supporting student communication needs remotely. This contract opportunity is based in Harvey, Louisiana, focusing on delivering teletherapy services to school-aged children from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services through telepractice platforms to students ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's communication needs.
- Monitor and document student progress in accordance with school and district guidelines.
- Collaborate virtually with educational staff and families to support student goals.
- Ensure compliance with all state licensure regulations and professional standards in teletherapy.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Active state licensure in Louisiana, as well as licensure in the state of current residence if applicable.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) is required.
- Minimum of three years experience working within school settings, preferably in Louisiana.
- Demonstrated experience providing teletherapy services.
- Successful completion of technical screening.
- One professional reference on file supporting clinical capabilities.
- Ability to participate in prescreen interviews scheduled during established timeframes.
Work Details:
- Full-time position offering 35 hours per week, generally seven hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, Monday through Friday following the school calendar; part-time considerations possible.
- Contract duration through May 22, 2026, with an immediate start date desired.
- Caseload and specific school assignments to be determined.
