Position Overview
Blazer Jobs is hiring a School Social Worker to support students in a Pontiac, MI school district for the 20252026 school year. The Social Worker will provide counseling, support students social-emotional development, and collaborate with school staff and families to promote academic and personal success.

Qualifications

Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) required

Active Michigan 310 license

Previous school-based experience strongly preferred

Strong counseling, collaboration, and communication skills
Key Duties

Provide individual and group counseling to students

Assess social-emotional and behavioral needs and develop intervention strategies

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success

Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as needed

Connect families with community resources and services

Maintain accurate and confidential documentation according to district and state guidelines
