There is a full-time contract opportunity for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Springfield, MA. Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing qualified professionals for this school-based position serving a high school caseload that includes both general education and special education students.
To be considered, candidates must meet all requirements established by Massachusetts state and local regulations. Previous experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
Responsibilities may include:
Implement speech and language therapy programs under the supervision of a licensed SLP
Support students in achieving communication goals outlined in their IEPs
Conduct therapy sessions individually and in small groups
Assist in collecting data, tracking progress, and maintaining documentation
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to promote student success
Prepare therapy materials and organize session plans
Support the integration of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) tools as directed by the supervising SLP
Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and communicative classroom environment
