School Psychologist Job Duties

Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess academic, social, and emotional needs of students

Develop and implement individualized education and intervention plans

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student learning and behavior

Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed

Participate in IEP meetings and assist with eligibility determinations

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
Federal and State Requirements

Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program

Current Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP) licensure or eligibility

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and FERPA

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Successful completion of fingerprinting and background checks required by the district
