A school district in Ypsilanti, MI, is seeking two full-time Social Workers to provide critical support to students in K-12 settings. These contract positions will run from ASAP through June 5, 2026, and include roles for both elementary and high school levels. This is an excellent opportunity to work onsite and make a meaningful difference in the lives of students within the school community.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver social work services tailored to the needs of students, including counseling, case management, and family engagement
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student well-being and academic success
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Provide crisis intervention and referrals to community resources as needed
- Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations
Qualifications:
- Must hold SSW-310 Authorization for School Social Work OR MDE School Social Worker Credential
- Experience working in school-based social work preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently in both elementary and high school settings
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school environment
