A K-12 school in Waterford, MI, is seeking a qualified Social Worker to support students throughout the school year under a contract position. This role involves providing essential social work services to K-12 students, collaborating with educators, families, and community resources to enhance student well-being and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and address students social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement support plans and interventions
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
- Connect students and families with community resources and services
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies
Qualifications:
- Licensed Social Worker credential, valid in the state of Michigan
- Experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of child development, mental health, and family dynamics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
