An opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support K-12 students in a school setting. This contract position is ideal for professionals passionate about helping children with diverse needs thrive academically and socially in an educational environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
- Assisting students with developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
- Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and parents to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintaining thorough documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Adapting activities to support students' unique needs and promote independence.
Required Qualifications:
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential.
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) in educational settings.
- Knowledge of K-12 school therapy protocols and regulations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work within a contract timeframe during the current school year (CSY).
