A full-time speech-language pathologist (SLP) is urgently needed to provide comprehensive services in a K-12 school setting located in San Elizario, TX. This contract position runs through June 12, 2026, with an immediate start date. The role primarily supports a high school where no speech services have been provided this entire year, requiring the SLP to manage a substantial caseload and address significant backlog related to communication services and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality speech-language pathology services to students, primarily at the high school level, addressing a caseload of approximately 64 students with a backlog of unmet needs.
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to support student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including IEPs and progress reports.
- Support a secondary caseload option serving grades K-8 with approximately 40 students requiring services after a recent gap.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to facilitate student progress and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a speech-language pathologist.
- Experience working within school environments, preferably with K-12 populations.
- Ability to manage a high caseload with excellent organizational and caseload management skills.
- Strong communication skills and capacity to work independently and collaboratively.

Location and Schedule:
- On-site work required in the Lower Valley region south of I-10 for the high school position or northeast of I-10 for the K-8 assignment.
