Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to cover maternity leave assignments within K-12 school settings. This contract role begins mid-October and continues through August 7, 2026, offering approximately 35 hours per week with part-time candidates also considered. The assignment involves working primarily in Wilkes Barre, PA, with responsibilities extending to itinerant student support in the Dunmore, PA area during the spring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language evaluations, direct therapy, and progress monitoring for students across grades K-12.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Manage caseloads effectively while maintaining documentation and compliance with school policies.
- Travel between assigned school locations as needed to serve itinerant students.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active Pennsylvania SLP license.
- Proven experience in school-based speech-language pathology roles.
- Ability to obtain and complete all necessary Pennsylvania state clearances.
- Reliable transportation for travel between sites within the assigned regions.
