An opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support elementary-aged students in a school setting. This part-time, contract position spans the full semester and is ideal for professionals seeking hands-on experience working with diverse early learners.
Location:
- Onsite at an elementary school in Pawtucket, RI
Duration:
- January 5, 2026 June 15, 2026 (Full semester)
Schedule:
- Part-time, 2 days per week (flexible days excluding Fridays)
- Hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Provide OT services primarily to Pre-K students, with some support provided to students in grades 1 through 3
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address developmental and functional needs
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to support student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school regulations and standards
Qualifications:
- Active state license as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Experience working with children in a school or clinical setting is preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an educational environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the specific needs of young learners
