Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A part-time Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position is available for the spring semester at an elementary school in Warwick, RI. This role offers the opportunity to work primarily with PreK students, with occasional support for grades 1-3, delivering specialized therapeutic services that enhance students educational experiences.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing occupational therapy assessments and interventions tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student development.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports.
- Adapting therapy plans to meet the unique needs of the school environment.
- Delivering services onsite two days per week, with flexible scheduling excluding Fridays, from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Qualifications:
- Active state license as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Ability to engage effectively with young students, predominantly PreK age.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to supporting student growth in a school-based therapy role.
This contract runs from January 5, 2026, through June 15, 2026, providing consistent part-time work with flexibility in scheduling. The position requires onsite presence to directly serve students across the school week.
