A certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a high school setting in Providence, RI. This contract opportunity spans the entire school year (NSY) and offers the chance to support students communication and language development in an educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in high school students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to create individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct screenings and provide therapy sessions tailored to students needs
- Document progress and maintain detailed records in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure student success
Qualifications:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid licensure to practice as an SLP in a school setting
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly high school students
- Strong understanding of educational policies and speech therapy techniques appropriate for adolescents
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
