Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A part-time Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position is available to support students in an elementary school setting. This contract role will span the second semester, from early January to mid-June, providing services primarily to PreK students, with occasional support for grades 1-3 as needed.
Location:This role is based onsite in a school located in Cranston, RI, serving the local elementary school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations and interventions tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students in PreK through grade 3.
- Track student progress and maintain detailed documentation in compliance with state regulations.
Qualifications:
- Active state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred, particularly with early childhood and elementary-aged students.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff.
- Flexibility to work two days per week, excluding Fridays, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM.
Schedule:
- Part-time position, 2 days per week with flexible scheduling on available weekdays except Fridays.
