An opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide full-time services in an elementary school setting in Cypress, TX. This contract position runs through June 4, 2026, supporting students within a large public school district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services, including assessments, evaluations, and individualized education program (IEP) meetings
- Support students with diverse communication needs, including those on the autism spectrum or with behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective interventions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and compliance with school district policies
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Texas SLP license (required; license verification screenshot needed)
- Minimum school-based experience, particularly within public school settings
- Special education experience working with Autism and behavioral challenges preferred
- Availability for full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Position Options:
- Itinerant Role: Conduct assessments, evaluations, and participate in referral and IEP meetings; bilingual SLPs are preferred
- Campus-Based Role: Deliver therapy services, handle referrals and evaluations with a caseload of approximately 58 students
