Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position serves elementary schools in the Katy, TX area within a large school district. The assignment lasts through the current school year, with a contract duration ending in June 2026.
Key responsibilities include providing speech therapy services and conducting assessments and evaluations to support student progress. Depending on placement preference, the role may be itinerantfocused on assessments, evaluations, and IEP/referral meetingsor campus-based, primarily delivering therapy and managing a caseload of approximately 58 students. Bilingual candidates are preferred for itinerant positions. The schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Active Texas SLP License (documentation required)
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology
- Special education experience, particularly with autism and behavioral challenges
- Ability to manage caseloads and participate in IEP meetings
- No VOCO candidates accepted
- Good transportation and commute reliability
- Readiness to complete district-required fingerprinting
Locations include multiple elementary schools in the Katy and Southwest Houston areas. Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams and last 1530 minutes.
