Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based Speech/Language Therapist position is available to provide comprehensive speech and language services within K-12 school districts and Early Intervention programs in Carbon and Lehigh County, PA. This contract role is scheduled to begin ASAP and continue through approximately June 12, 2026, aligning with the academic calendar. The position requires a commitment of 35 hours per week, focusing on delivering effective therapy to support student communication development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized speech and language programs for students across K-12.
- Conduct assessments and provide therapy services within school settings and early intervention programs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student progress.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district policies and state regulations.
Qualifications:
- Pennsylvania Department of Education certification in Speech and Language (Educational Specialist/Instructional I) is required.
- Valid Pennsylvania Speech Language Pathologist License is preferred.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
- Proof of active licensure must be included with all applications.
