An immediate need exists for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support K-12 school districts and Early Intervention programs within Carbon and Lehigh counties, PA. This contract position offers a full-time commitment aligned with the school calendar, tentatively scheduled from ASAP through June 12, 2026. Serving communities within a respected Intermediate Unit, the role focuses on delivering comprehensive speech and language services to students across various educational settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and therapy for speech and language development in school-aged children
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans consistent with educational goals
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in early intervention services as part of interdisciplinary programming
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist license (active and up to date)
- Pennsylvania Department of Education certification in Speech and Language (Educational Specialist/Instructional I)
- Strong preference for candidates holding the ASHA Clinical Competency Certificate (CCC-SLP)
- Proven experience working in school or early intervention settings
- Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads effectively within school environments
