A dynamic opportunity is available for Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) to provide essential support in K-12 educational settings within the Lehigh Acres area of Florida. This contract role offers experienced professionals and newly certified clinicians the chance to make a meaningful impact on student communication development across multiple schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student assessments and needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to state and district policies for speech therapy services
- Potentially supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) as applicable
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Florida teaching certificate and/or licensure in speech-language pathology
- Certification of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or eligibility as Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF)
- Experience working with school-aged populations preferred
- Ability to manage caseloads across multiple school sites, primarily in the East Zone area including Lehigh Acres
