Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full- and part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support K-12 students across several school locations in Southeast Florida. This contract role covers the school year from January 5, 2026, to June 2, 2026, with assignments typically involving one campus, though the number may vary depending on needs.
Locations and schedules include:
- Dan McCarty Middle School (4 days/week) and Forest Grove Middle School (1 day/week) in Ft. Pierce, FL. These campuses serve middle school students, and your role will involve covering days without another SLP onsite. Each site includes at least one InD unit.
- Oak Hammock K-8 in Port St. Lucie, FL, working two days per week. This DHH Cluster Site features one full-time SLP and one SLPA.
- Private School Evaluation Team in Port St. Lucie, FL, conducting evaluations one day per week at the district office. This role requires a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) and is funded through May 29, 2025.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Active Florida SLP licensure is mandatory.
- Experience working with school-age children (K-12), including caseload management and familiarity with special education settings.
- Ability to work independently, as some locations may not have other SLPs available onsite.
- Flexibility to adapt to a variety of school environments and schedules.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and provide therapeutic services tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and support personnel to develop and implement intervention plans.
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with district and state guidelines.
