A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to support K-12 students in a school district located in Port Saint Lucie, FL. This full- and part-time contract position focuses on providing direct speech and language services across multiple campus settings, including middle schools, K-8, and private school evaluation teams. Assignments vary, with most SLPs primarily serving one campus. The role requires active Florida SLP licensure and offers a schedule aligned with the 2025-2026 school year calendar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students in elementary through high school settings (K-12)
- Manage caseloads in various schools including Dan McCarty Middle School, Forest Grove Middle School, and Oak Hammock K-8
- Conduct evaluations for private schools as part of the districts evaluation team (requires CCC-SLP credential; position funded through 5/29/25)
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other related service providers
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school district policies
- Provide services onsite with no hybrid or remote options
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist licensure required
- Experience working in school-based environments preferred
- Ability to manage caseloads independently on assigned campuses
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- CCC-SLP certification required for private school evaluation duties
Location: Port Saint Lucie, FL, with some days at Ft. Pierce, FL
