A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in Teletherapy to serve schools in the New Orleans, LA area, including Metairie. This full-time role offers 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, following the school calendar, and involves providing telepractice services to students across various age groups within the district.
Key responsibilities include conducting virtual speech-language evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering teletherapy sessions, collaborating with school staff and families, and maintaining proper documentation in compliance with school district policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active Louisiana state license and license in candidates residing state
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) required
- Minimum of 3 years experience delivering speech therapy services in Louisiana school settings
- Demonstrated expertise in Teletherapy/Telepractice techniques
- Successful completion of technology screening relevant to teletherapy platforms
- Ability and willingness to complete district-specific credentialing forms
- One professional reference on file
- Availability for prescreen interviews to assess candidate suitability
This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency with teletherapy software, and a commitment to supporting student communication needs remotely. The position is contracted through 5/22/2026 with a start date as soon as possible.
