A school-based speech-language pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to support K-12 students in Fairfax, VA. This contract position will span the current school year, providing essential speech and language services to help students achieve their communication goals.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress
- Maintain clear and accurate records of student assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Participate in meetings and provide consultation to educational teams regarding speech and language strategies
Qualifications:
- Valid ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist credential or equivalent licensure
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) in educational settings
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and intervention strategies
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to manage caseload and documentation efficiently
