Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available for a K-12 school setting within the Durham area of the Research Triangle, NC. This contract role involves providing essential support during an FMLA coverage period, beginning as soon as possible and expected to continue through at least December, potentially extending into January. The position requires on-site presence with no remote or hybrid options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to the needs of elementary-aged students.
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and other professionals to support student development and educational goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to school district policies and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings and provide timely updates on student progress.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active North Carolina Occupational Therapy licensure is required.
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain NC Department of Education background check upon placement (highly preferred).
- This role is exclusively for Occupational Therapists; Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) will not be considered.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary to engage effectively with students and educational teams.

Hours and Duration:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Contract term aligned with school calendar, ending approximately June 10, 2026
