A full-time occupational therapist position is available within a K-12 school setting in Durham, NC, supporting students through FMLA coverage. This contract role starts as soon as possible and is expected to continue through the current school year, ending on June 10, 2026, with potential extension into January. The assignment primarily involves elementary-aged students, with the exact caseload to be determined.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to support the developmental and functional needs of students.
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to develop and implement individualized plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state regulations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student progress evaluations.
- Adhere to all licensing and background check requirements.
Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina Occupational Therapist licensure is required.
- Experience working within school-based occupational therapy is preferred.
- Ability to manage a full-time workload of 37.5 hours per week.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Candidates must be able to complete the NC Department of Early Education background check; while not mandatory for immediate start, it is preferred.
