A full-time occupational therapist position is available at a K-8 school in Gretna, LA, with an assignment running through the current school year ending May 16, 2025. This onsite contract role serves a PreK-8th grade caseload with a high number of students, requiring strong expertise in school-based occupational therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students ranging from PreK through 8th grade
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students educational and developmental needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports in compliance with school policies and regulations
- Manage a high caseload thoughtfully and efficiently
Qualifications:
- Current OT license valid in Louisiana
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with PreK-8 populations
- Ability to handle a large caseload effectively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to supporting students educational achievement through therapeutic interventions
